After impressing audiences with his role as physicist Edward Teller in Oppenheimer, Benny Safdie has joined a stellar ensemble cast for his mythic action epic.

The Odyssey promises to be a visually stunning spectacle, using new IMAX technology to bring the classic tale to life. It follows the Greek hero Odysseus as he embarks on a perilous 10-year journey home after the Trojan War. The film, set to release on July 17, 2026 will explore themes of heroism, divine intervention and family loyalty, featuring well-known characters like Odysseus’s wife, Penelope and their son, Telemachus.
